Prince Nymph — Black Nickel Bead (Yellow Wing, Brown Tail) Classic profile, Ozark twist, built to last. OverviewA traditional Prince Nymph tuned for our water: yellow biot wing for pop and tracking, brown biot tail for a natural mayfly/caddis silhouette, peacock body for life, and a clean black-nickel bead to get it moving without the chrome flash. Same confidence fly—dressed for pressured tailwaters. Why this buildThe yellow biot wing adds a subtle hot read in stained or pushy water, while the brown biot tail keeps the look classic. A black-nickel bead gives balanced sink and better corrosion resistance than plated beads. Sizes / optionsSizes shown in the dropdown. In two-fly rigs, run it above a small midge, soft hackle, or seasonal egg. Where and how to fishInside seams, shoal tongues, tailouts when flows are steady. Lead bug under an indicator, point fly on euro rigs, or dropper under a hopper late summer/early fall. Shorten drifts and add a micro shot on a bump; lighten/lengthen when it settles. Gear notes4X–5X for indicator work; 5X–6X for longer leaders/delicate mends. On euro, think 2.8–3.3 mm bead slots and adjust for depth/speed.
