Not excessively bright. This could be good or bad, depending on your intended use.I needed a simple tap light for when my partner gets up in the middle of the night (before he breaks a leg) that was easy to use when half asleep and wasn’t overly harsh on the eyes. This was a good solution.Definitely easy to use, though you do have to “tap”/press it just right; sometimes it takes a few tries. But it doesn’t require thinking.It lights up the room sufficiently, and I still wouldn’t want it shining directly in my face, but it doesn’t burn my eyes like turning on the side lamp would.Can’t argue on the price either.Not rechargeable, so that’s a downside, but hopefully the batteries will last a long time considering how relatively little use it gets.
