Received these a couple of days ago, installed them onto my 2007 XR650L, did not need to use any of the adapters etc. they threaded into the OEM mirror mount area without issue.First thing I must say, those stems sure look and feel like some type of polymer/plastic, not aluminum. I purchased these because it says “aluminum stems” in the description here and points to the arms/clamps, also many have written that in their reviews. If it is aluminum, I would be surprised. I scratched an inner area on the arm/stem with the tip of a pocketknife, and I do not see silver, it felt like plastic, durable type, but plastic. That being said, I did not have any issues with them. The mirrors look great; the reflective mirror itself appears to be glass which is nice. The image in mirrors is clear and distortion free.I am 6′, 195lbs. and I had no issues seeing the areas needed when seated in a forward or more rearward position while riding the motorcycle. The mirrors were quite stable. I rode only a little bit of an area where I could ride at fast highway speed and had only a little vibration that affected image only slightly at speeds of 70-75mph. I have 14t/45t sprockets on at the moment so at those higher speeds, my Thumper was pushing the RPMs. The mirrors did not move/change position that I could tell during or after the higher speed riding. I have them clamped down fairly well but was also careful not to tighten too much.I rode on a twisty rough canyon back road along a creek, (Butte Creek Canyon east of Chico, Ca.) and they were excellent. They seem to be a really good buy especially for this price. If someone does need longer arms/stems, they could buy RAM products arms, they make aluminum and plastic but not sure which are available in a longer length, and those would likely be 20 bucks or so each if available.I am quite happy with these so far, only one ~50-mile round trip ride, but zero issues and a big improvement on the mirrors that were on my bike, which are most likely not OEM, (I purchased the bike used about 5 years ago)I recommend them if you don’t want to spend the money on DT’s. (a friend saw my pics and said they look just like his DT’s)I would have given them 5 stars but had to deduct one star the likely misleading aluminum arm thing. (I am going to check them with a DVOM to confirm)
