First of all, these mirrors look AMAZING. The metalwork and design of the flag are fantastic. The feel of them is really good, the mirrors are crisp and clear, and once they’re mounted how you like them, they’re pretty darn solid, considering the vibration that you would expect from a UTV/ATV. The first time my wife drove with these mirrors, she commented that their shape gives better visibility than the original factory mirrors. The two pictorial instruction cards contradict themselves, but if you insert the bolt through the top (not the bottom, like one of the cards shows), then you’ll be able to properly snap on the little plastic cover on the top (to hide the bolt). The kit includes 3 Allen wrenches to tighten/adjust the mirrors, but you will also need a socket wrench to connect the mirror to the bracket part. It’s a little feisty, but once you get the locknut just barely threaded onto the bolt, you can use the socket to tighten it up.The one big design flaw is the up/down pivot connection and adjustment. The mirrors pivot on Hirth Joints (toothed discs). They are plastic, so their longevity has yet to be seen. But even more problematic is that the adjustment screw to tighten or loosen the Hirth Joint is inside the rollbar clamp. So in order to make an adjustment, you have to completely remove the mirror. It’s not easy to figure out exactly how tight or loose it should be when it’s in your hands as compared to mounted on the rollbar, so it could be a repetitive process that would be unnecessary if the design was different. If you are the one and only driver of your vehicle, it would be fine once you get it the way you want it. But if you share the vehicle with someone who is a different height and/or changes the seat position, it could cause annoying issues like it does for us. The kit does include a couple spare plastic tooth discs, but if the Hirth joints were made of metal and/or if they had a better and more accessible means to adjust them, that would be much better.I REALLY wanted to give these mirrors a solid 5 rating because they are so cool. But because of the one adjustment issue regarding tilting the mirrors up and down, I reluctantly had to give a rating of 4 stars.
