Description Description: This is a very popular garden clumper with attractive green striped golden culms and a pleasing umbrella shaped form. New shoots often have a pinkish or reddish cast. It’s one of the hardier of the semitropical bamboos, making it an ideal clumper for sunny locations in our area. Recommended Uses: A choice ornamental, good for a privacy hedge, windbreak, or mid-sized point of interest. Ideal Growing Conditions: Thrives in partial to full sun, will be happiest if it doesn’t get below 30º F, but will survive down to 25º F.
