Description Up for sale is a well-maintained 1997 Fender California Series Stratocaster. This short-lived series (produced only from 1997–1998) is highly regarded for its unique “joint venture” production: the bodies and necks were CNC-cut in Corona, CA, finished in Ensenada, and returned to the USA for final assembly with premium American hardware and electronics. Specifications & Features: Neck: Maple neck and fingerboard with a comfortable 9.5″ radius for modern playability. Electronics: Factory-original Tex-Mex single-coil pickups for classic Stratocaster quack and punch. Hardware: Upgraded locking tuners for superior tuning stability. Finish: Classic styling with vintage-style bridge and hardware. Weight: 7lbs 7oz Condition & Maintenance: This guitar has just received a professional setup and a fresh set of strings. It plays exceptionally well with low, fast action. Frets: Polished and in good condition with plenty of life remaining. Body/Hardware: Exhibits minor play wear consistent with age. Note that there is some cosmetic pitting on the chrome bridge finish. Headstock: A professional repair was performed on the headstock near the low E and A tuning machines; it is stable and does not affect playability. Included: Original Fender gig bag. (Note: Tremolo arm is not included). Please review the high-resolution photos for a detailed look at the cosmetic condition and the headstock repair.
